Why the hell is it not available on Apple Music anymore. It’s the one song off the album I can’t listen to and it’s my favorite. 😭

Excellent recording and arrangement. Urbie and the 21 Trombones made amazing music for 2 albums! As a vinyl nerd, I'm sorry to say that the album art on this video isn't the artwork from the album this song appears on, "21 Trombones, Rock/Blues/Jazz".

In 1974, give or take a year, I was at a workshop before or after a concert by Bill Watrous and the Manhattan Wildlife Refuge, at a school in the area where I grew up in New Jersey. Bill asked Urbie to play a quartet piece with 3 random trombone students in the audience, and somehow I was picked, along with a beautiful girl who had moved out of my town a year or so earlier, and some other kid. That 2 or 3 minutes, plus Bill then complimenting us by saying "Man, you cats got in some real licks there" had to be the highlight of my trombone playing days. Bill and Urbie's sounds/styles were very different when turned loose to do their own thing, but both were incredibly skilled masters of the instrument, and also capable of playing a conventional piece pretty identically to each other. Just as impressive, was that these absolute top trombonists took the time to inspire and help along kids who loved the instrument. I just about wore out the vinyl of this 21 Trombones album, as well as what I considered the tour-de-force of trumpet play, "High, Wide, and Wonderful" by Doc Severinson. Both were Enoch Light productions.

This is not the version featured on the original vinyl album but an inferiour demo that the CD label put on their disc by mistake. However, if you own the LP, this is an interesting version to own besides. It features Fisher playing all instruments including drums.

There is also a Japanese CD which features the original track but that disc is somewhat distorted throughout.

So this song really did exist, I didn't dream it when I was five years old. But...there wasn't actually an episode where Adam West and Burt Ward confronted a Special Guest Villain played by, say, Susannah York, or Rhonda Fleming, called the Sewer Lady, was there...?

Thanks for uploading this. I first knew Joe playing by one old Capiltol single extracted from that same LP. I got immediately hooked, and continue so 40 years after that... I've listened since then to other famous pianists, also to other Joe performances, in 78rpm or in other formats, his appearances in TV etc. Still I believe this Cole Porter songs album one of his best recordings. Thanks.
